Life's A Beach

Hello blogger friends!
I'm here again to share with you a recent life event
I've had with good friends.

Last July 17 and 18 of this year, me with my work mates and
some nursing staffs in our group went out of town
for a team-building activity and also to unwind from the
hectic schedule and restless hospital duties.
So came up to a plan going to the beach.
And to say, it was actually me, who do the planning and all,
most especially with our foods.
We went to Sipalay City, a city located in the Province of Negros Occidental
here in the Philippines.
We stayed at a private resort owned by a relative of mine just
a walking distance from Punta Bulata Beach Resort.

These photo's above was taken after our dinner, the night we arrived at the place.

The morning the next day, I woke up early in the morning
around 5am to cook breakfast for my group.
Since I can't expect everybody to help or do the task since
they are all drunk last night..lol
So, I cooked corned beef with potatoes,
(hotdogs, hams, rice) no photos available *wink*
and my specialty the ham and cheese maki.

After so, we then took some photos of the place and enjoy
everybody's company while swimming and playing around
without any worries about our hospital duties.
As of that moment, we forgot about the hospital,
our patients, our own problems.
This time, we think of our happiness and the company of
good friends that makes our journey worthwhile.

These two people were one of my closest friends, so sad they both ended up working
already in preparation for a more brighter future ahead of our profession.
But was glad to share and spent time with them even though
we seldom see each other now. <3

Photo with some staffs and previous workers at the hospital, somewhat
like a reunion for us all.

The photo above was made by yours truly,
since cooking is my passion I did the marinating of pork
the morning we headed to Sipalay, we cook it for our lunch the
next day. *yummy!!*

And our trip wouldn't be complete without a group picture.
That's why I really love my group! *Wink*

"We didn't realize we were MAKING MEMORIES, we thought we were just having FUN."

Cheers to the Hinigaran Group! <3

For Her Recognition Day

It's Saturday once again and time for my PINK post sorry I was late to post for PS cos' I got some problems with my internet connection at home... Special Thanks to Ms. Beverly of Pink Saturday for featuring me on her PS. So come and find new friends there. Today, I have a featured blogger Ms. Lynn of The Vintage Nest, spare some time to visit her blog too.*wink*

Since March in the Philippines is the time for Graduation, I wanna share with you the dress whom my daughter worn last March 19 during her Recognition Day. She was enrolled at a Toddler Class at a private school in my hometown last June 2011, and now, she's a graduate. I'm a proud mum knowing that she did well in school and was a very active and cooperative little girl, though sometimes she's a bit hyperactive and with temper tantrums, yet she will always be loved by us.

This is the photo taken a day before my little girl's Recognition Day. And this dress was made especially for her by a friend of my BIL who is also the designer of my soon to be wedding gown. My little girl really love posing herself for a photo, isn't it obvious? She really looks so cute and lovely in her dress, no doubt where she get the trait from..*wink*. Below is a candid pose of her.

Behind the Pink Walls

This photo was taken a year ago, when I came back home from Cebu for my board exam. It was New Year, the first of January and so we hold a party at home together with all the members of our family including my hubby and little girl. I was once thin here, and so I wanted to get back to this shape before our gown fitting for my up coming wedding. This photo has been my inspiration to control my appetite so that I will look gorgeous on my big day.

Below is the photo with my pretty cousins, and who can say that I am older than them about 10 years?hehehe... Maybe that's the power of having a happy contented life, no worries, carefree, because I know that my God is more powerful than my problems... And look at me now, the outcome, stress free, gorgeous and happy "ME".

By making this post, I got sad remembering my late sister, an was thinking that she could be here with us during this moment, maybe she does so far from the real world but always near and will always be in our hearts... This room was color dedicated to her since we both love "PINK", and once talk about how our room will be colored. And so, here it is our PINK-colored room...*wink*

Maybe you could also join me on the 28th of March for my first entry in:

Melts in Your Mouth, Not in Your Hand

In every Filipino's meal, dessert will always be present at the table, you may be less fortunate or rich; when it comes to meal time... everything else are the same, or maybe different only with the foods they are eating... But what's exciting to eating meals is that each member of the family get to share with each other not only their meals, but also they get to share memories and ideas with each other... and that's what I loved most with the Filipino's... Our families will always be special to us...♥

During my break time at the hospital where I am working, me and my friends get to bond at the table...and talked about stuffs during our duty or other matters... And what we loved most during break time is that we also get to share our foods with each other...yum yum!

The photo below was our dessert the last time we ate together with my friends, it was brought by Nang Maru, my co-nurse at the hospital... Our ever loved, CHOCOLATES! *wink*

Daddy I Love You!

June is a very special month for fathers, b'cos this is the only time that they could be given credits for being a good dad in the whole wide world. I know that they shouldn't just be given thanks only in this month but throughout their lives...and it only means that we should express our gratitude to our fathers (mothers) everyday as we live.

What kind of father do you have?

I was touched with this question from a story I've read about two brothers who had grown up with a not so good dad. They were both being beaten up every time their dad is drunk. They both had families of heir own but still living on the same street. The other son became just like his dad. While the other became his dad's opposite. One day a neighbor came over their houses and asked them the same question "What kind of father do you have?", the son who's just like his dad answered I grew up with an alcoholic dad who always beats me up without any reasons and b'cos he's not a good example of an ideal father, I grew up just like him. And the other son answered the same question, I grew up with an alcoholic dad who always beats me up without any reasons and b'cos he's not a good example of an ideal father, I don't want my children to experience whatever I've been through during my childhood, and that's one reason why I don't want to follow the steps of my father and rather choose to become a good father to my children...

Maybe some of you who happen to read my post can somehow relate with the story or others may be luckier not to experience this. I'm as well can relate with the story I've just shared b'cos same as the two sons, I also grew up with a not so good/ ideal father. And b'cos I'm now a mom to my only child, I don't want her to experience whatever not so good experience I had in my childhood...and that's one reason that I talked to Joey with disciplining our child. I wanted our child to have us her parents whom she can trust and treat not only as her parents but her best friends as well. We wanted her to grew up without any conditions, but rather teach her to become a better person she can be, never afraid of taking risks but also must be responsible of her actions by knowing her limitations...

So this post I dedicate to the father of my daughter, daddy Joey, who's a very supportive dad to Chin. A loving father and her best friend, who sometimes teaches her no good and sometimes very protective (minsan O.A na) lol ...*wink* (just kiddin')...Happy Father's Day!...*SMOOCHES
