Harvest Season

This photo was taken on our way to our Christmas party destination at Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental. Here you can see the field were being burned so that it could be used again for planting season. Since it is harvest time in our province these fields we're being planted before with sugar canes which is the main product of Negros Occidental and the main source of income of most people living here.

Melts in Your Mouth, Not in Your Hand

In every Filipino's meal, dessert will always be present at the table, you may be less fortunate or rich; when it comes to meal time... everything else are the same, or maybe different only with the foods they are eating... But what's exciting to eating meals is that each member of the family get to share with each other not only their meals, but also they get to share memories and ideas with each other... and that's what I loved most with the Filipino's... Our families will always be special to us...♥

During my break time at the hospital where I am working, me and my friends get to bond at the table...and talked about stuffs during our duty or other matters... And what we loved most during break time is that we also get to share our foods with each other...yum yum!

The photo below was our dessert the last time we ate together with my friends, it was brought by Nang Maru, my co-nurse at the hospital... Our ever loved, CHOCOLATES! *wink*

Mis Años de Juventud (My Younger Years)

Btw, I'm the one with circle at the lower right side of the photo

Hello blogger peeps, I'm back and it's been a while... I was checkin' my weekly memes today and find GT, always with interesting topics every week for us to share with. As for today's topic "Something Old", I'd like to introduce to all the little Karen, this photo was taken during my preschool years, if I'm not mistaken I was just 4 years old when I first enter school as a Nursery. And I could never forget our ever loved teacher Ms. Eselyn Torrid with my classmates. Since it was taken long time ago, I couldn't remember the names of some classmates I'm with but was happy to see familiar faces and close friends, such a moment to remember...:)

Casa Verde

Casa Verde, a restaurant famous for its Baby Back Ribs & King's Burger...na talagang dinudumog ng mga tao, may it be Pinoy or Foreign...it is located 3rd floor of Ayala Center, Cebu City.

The first time I ate here was when Gerry my friend invited us to a dinner with her family at Ayala and choose the place to dine. The place is so elegant, and masasabi mo na talagang pangmayaman...but the prices were affordable anyway and everyone can afford the foods...

Baby Back Ribs with Side Dish Veggies
Php 175 for the BBR which is so sulit, cos' super laki ng meat, kahit dalawa kayo mag-share pwede...for sure busog na busog ka when you left the place..

King's Burger

Another is the Kings Burger which costs Php 350...it measures 10-12 inches wide and 3-4 inches tall...with meaty patty, lettuces, tomatoes, and sandwich dressing...Me and Joey bought one when we went back to Cebu last Sunday...and believe it or not...almost 24hrs pa namin naubos yung burger kasi super laki...I guess 6-8 people can share with it!

So if you happen to visit Cebu and Ayala Center, I suggest you dine at Casa Verde...and surely you'll love the place and the foods...

Only one problem, there were only limited seats...sa sobrang dami ng kumakain dito, you have to have reservations first and wait for your turn before you can eat...but it's worth the wait!;)

A Taste of Hard Work

As I was browsing my photo albums in FB, I came across the album created when I was still at the university, and got me sad missing my old good friends. The photo below was taken at L'Fisher hotel in Bacolod City. It was during our University Week and we decided to have some fun and forget the tiring days of studying and giving ourselves a consolation for the hard work. . . For we know that "All work and no play makes a wise man dull." *wink*

Keys To A Happy Marriage #3 TRIALS

As human beings, we are bound to commit mistakes and encounter problems in life. But what's good about committing mistakes is that we were given another chance for changes and learning with the help of our loved ones and most especially by ourselves.

And couples cannot run away from these... Who in here in a relationship or already been married for years or just recently been married weren't able to experience trials by being together? If anyone could convince me that they weren't able to experience it.. I'm gonna be dead by now...lol..*just kidding*. But seriously talking, I'll gonna be your number 1 fan if any of you here who weren't been able to encounter it. We all know that we are not perfect and each one of us are unique in our own little way. So we cannot blame others for not fitting in in our preferences. As couple's, what matters between you and I is that we just have to understand our differences may it be good or bad so that we could learn from each other and that whatever tests/ trials will come your way, you will be able to surpass it. A key to a happy marriage isn't just about you're both compatible with each other, but by differences you were still able to embrace each other wholeheartedly. Me and hubby were totally different from each other but we collided, it's all because our love for each other is more greater than our pride. That's what we've learned from being together for the past 4 years of our relationship. Well I'm not saying that we have a perfect relationship, we do encounter trials and misunderstandings same with the other couple's around, though I cannot change the fact that we will still be encountering trials later on in our relationship but we are ready to face it without any fear or hesitations because we're confident knowing that our love is the testimony of our perfect love for each other.. and no trials can brought us apart..♥  ♥  ♥

A Sweet Saturday to Everyone..

Galeon Andalucia

This is the Galeon Andalucia ship of Spain, which happened to visit the Philippines last year and lucky me to enter the boat and was able to meet new Spanish friends and they tour me inside the ship. This is one of the most unforgettable experience I had when I was in Cebu for my review.

And to say that I love taking pictures and travelling, capturing moments and remembering them through the photos, and I just discovered a new hobby which is photography..*wink* and also by the influence of my sweety babe, cos' she loves posing in front of the camera whenever she sees' it.. So thanks for being a good influence to mum babe, you always brings out the best in me.. Love you always! xoxo

Happy World Teacher's Day

Today is a very special day to all the teachers out there, and now, it's time for us to give them tribute for all the things they've imparted to us, most especially being our second parents when we're away from home.

Being a teacher is a noble profession, cos' it's a vocation they've chosen to hone young minds as well as thrive masked talents from their students'. They endure and devote most of their time for their students eventhough how wear out they are from work and home. Though they aren't paid or given the salary they deserve still, they help without anything to ask in return except from seeing their students turn out to be a successful, is more enough. They may come across such dilemmas supervising their students because of distinctiveness, but they're savvy attending them copiously and candid to everyone without any penchant. I can never say more to them except for the requital I have for each teacher I've encounter from my pre-school  years to my college days.

And most importantly, I dedicate this to my ever supportive and hard-working mum who's always been there for us through ups and downs. My hero, My mentor, My friend, My mama...who's also a teacher. I offer all my success to you, I won't promise you anything but as long as I'm here, I will never fail to show how thankful I am having you around and show you my love. I love you ma!

Salute to all the retired teachers, present teachers, and teachers-to-be!
Happy World Teachers Day to all!

Keys to a Happy Marriage #1 COMMUNICATION

"It's true that action speaks louder than words...but you have to hear first the words and see the actions at the same time to avoid confusion."

Communication is the main reason why any relationship (bf/ gf, husbands/ wives, friends, paternal) happened to last or ends their relationship with each other. Me and hubby once have problems in terms of communication, since I am a reserve person, and he, on the other hand is a talkative one; that leads us to quarrel most of the time especially when we have little misunderstandings and it grew bigger because of miscommunication... For one reason is that I hate talking a lot when I'm mad and he's forcing me to speak out when I don't want to... But I've come to realized that to have our relationship to work, I should somehow cooperate with him so that we wouldn't end up upset with each other or the worst hate each other. And being the girl, I should be the first one to lower my pride and that is the most important lesson I've learned in life.

As of now, me and hubby were unwed, but we're planning to have a civil wedding by the end of the year to be legally binded together and not having problems with papers when we get a chance to work abroad in the near future, yet we're also planning getting married in church maybe when we already have our own savings...maybe 5 years from now. *wink*

All I wanted to impart to everyone is that no matter what trials that come our way, it can be surpassed.. only if we converse with our partners what we want our relationship to be... a good communication makes up a good relationship...

Have a Blessed Sunday to everyone!
