Last October 2009, me and Joey were invited by his colleagues from Knights of Columbus for a "Family Day", and our destination was at Mag-aso Resort. It is an hour or less travel from our place, Himamaylan City going there and you can reach there either by a bus or private car.
This was our first time visiting the place and we were so amazed of its beauty...It's really a God-given gift that reminds us to be thankful and to take good care of His creations..
On its entrance was a man-made stone with the name of the Resort. And entering the resort you have to went downstairs, on top is overlooking the pool which came from the spring down to the pool area, and the water is so refreshing by the time you emerge yourself in it.
From the pool, you'll be amazed of the surprise that you'll unveil by the moment you stroll around the place. From the entrance down to the pool going left, you'll again have to go downstairs maybe around a 100 steps by reaching the 50th steps I guess you can overlook the falls which is very tall and you can already feel the coolness of the water splashing from the top down to the river...
We had so much fun while we were there downstairs enjoying the coolness of the water from the falls, but it doesn't ends there, we went back upstairs after the swimming and picture taking, and just right for our lunch with his colleagues at the cottage we've rented...After our lunch, we decided to try the other side of the place that we haven't seen yet. We passed by a man-made bridge which was beautifully made and we again, went upstairs and saw another falls, which is not as tall as the first one we saw but so lovely to stay in there cos' its so calm and also refreshing. In there, we found not only one falls but two, and the water from it was the one falling down on the first falls we saw..
Time runs so fast that we weren't able to recognize that it's already getting late, so we packed up our stuffs and ready to leave the place, we look back from atop with thoughts on our head of what a great experience it was to witness that God-made creations, and so glad for the officials and people of Kabankalan City for their help in maintaining the natural beauty of the place, though some were being revised to perfectly beautify the place. We went home tired but with so much fun and another wonderful moment to cherish when we get older and something we could share to our daughter and children-to-be in the future...
