Such a funny and exciting experience we had during our first time in Cebu. Me and Joey went there last April 2010 without any familiarization of the place as well as with the people around. We were sent there to have our review and also in there we'll be taking our board exam for Nurses. My papa told me that we could stay at my granny's house in Talisay, but the problem is we don't know the place (Talisay) was and where it can be found, cos' we have no idea as to where we are heading and at that moment we don't have their address yet. Since we're both adventurous, and maybe one reason why we "clicked", we love discovering new things before us. From the moment we're still on the bus on our way to Cebu, Joey is too asky with the conductor of the bus "where are we now boss?", and the conductor has to answer him anyway. And from time to time he always asks the same question, that sometimes I think that the conductor is annoyed already with his redundant questions...lol... I though to myself maybe Joey's just excited with the trip or maybe he's afraid we'll get lost..So when were already at the Cebu (but not the exact Cebu City), we went down the bus, and nowhere to go.."Is it the city already?" I asked him, "I don't know this is my first time too" he answered...and we both laugh at each other..The next thing we do is get a taxi since we have lots of baggage with us, and ask the driver to send us to the nearest and cheapest hotel in the city. We were shocked knowing that we're too far from the city...and told each other that we should not let the driver recognize us that we're already on panic (actually I'm not, Joey is..lol). When we arrived at Fuente, the driver take us to Elegant Inn, we really don't know the place, but we have no choice but to check in there (even if it's too expensive). Good thing is that my papa texted us the address and contact number of my granny and on the next day, they fetched us in the Inn and moved us to their house in Talisay which is an hour far from the city proper. We just used the SRP to avoid traffics and only took us maybe 30 mins. And the next day again, we went back to the city with doctor (my granny's hubby) and tour us to the city to make us familiarize it and we wont be lost when we went their on our own the next time. So, now we already know the city, where are we going to ride, what will be the jeepney number that we'll be riding and the like. Now, we can go anywhere in Cebu without fear of getting lost, actually, I'm good in memorizing places fast, and that makes me confident going to other places for the first time, and such an exciting experience we had in Cebu that we'll never forget...;)
