This was taken last March 6, 2010 when I'm still at the university. This is a program of La Salle under "Gawad Kalinga Housing Program", with the intention to help less fortunate families to have a better home for them to live in. It is a program which seeks donation from people worldwide who are willing to help these families especially the poor families of the Philippines.
Before our graduation we are required by our school to take part in this program, we do help in building homes for the less fortunate families in a far flung area of Bago City. We just hire a jeepney for our transport. Though it was so hot, since it is around 9-10 am when we arrived in the place, still it doesn't stop us with our intention. We think more of how we could help to make the work more faster and easier to finish. And such a fulfilling task to do, knowing that after the hardships and labor we had, we'll be able to make other people happy with our simple intention to help. And would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for those who have donated and helped to make this program a success. Here are some photos taken during the home building..
